Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

Made a two-day trip to Albuquerque New Mexico to breath in some new sights and to also take care of some personal business. We spent a day touring around the city. It's a beautiful city indeed. More about the other locations we went to on my next blog post.

For now, I'm gonna show you this awesome restaurant that we ate at. It's called Rudy's "Country Store" And BAR-B-Q and it is worth the visit.

The atmosphere of the place is set up like you're having a picnic at a park with family and friends. Picnic tables are used and instead of plates to eat on, they give you a sheet of wax paper to use as a plate, nice idea in my opinion.

Picnic Style Tables and Rudy's Specialty store

My first visit here I ordered a 1/2 lbs of pork ribs, cole slaw, potato salad. My hubby ordered  1/2 lbs of briskets, a baked potato, Rudy's beans and unlimited soda of course.

The pork ribs were perfect! Meat so tender it literally was falling of from the bone and it was so juicy plus the Rudys Bar-BQ specialty sauce, awesome! Also they will give you bread (choose from wheat or white) that you can pair with the meat. Side dishes were also good. Nothing special about them but they were made right.

Savory Pork Ribs!

Brisket Lean

Of course, this place was so good that we decided to have lunch again the next day. When we got there, there were only a few customers, by the time we found a seat on their country style tables and started eating, we glanced at the door and the line was already out to the parking lot! That says alot of how great their food is!

I ordered the same meat the next day too, Pork Ribs because I loved it so much, my side dish was potato salad and corn on the cob, yummy! My hubby didn't really like the briskets he first ordered so he got some pork loin this time, he loved it, he also loved the Rudy's beans so much that this time around he ordered a pint!

If you are ever in Albuquerque, I highly recommend giving them a visit, it will be worth it!

Their location in Albuquerque is 2321 Carlisle Blvd. NE, and they are open till 10pm.

Hope you give them a visit soonest, enjoy!

Happy tummy, happy me!
